Interviews will be set up on a need basis and are welcome throughout the year. This is an opportunity to discuss concerns and/or questions about your child and their development. Parents are also encouraged to discuss any questions with staff on a regular basis.
In the event of an illness at any point throughout the day, the day care centre will notify you (the parent). If you are not available we will then notify the emergency contacts on your child’s form. We will ask that you/emergency person pick up your child. Upon arrival at the centre a detailed illness report will be presented to you for your signature. This report will be filed in your child’s file.
In the event of an accident during the day, a detailed accident report will be filled out by a full time staff and presented to you at the end of the day for your signature. Once again this report will be filled in your child’s file. If the injury requires medical attention, the centre will notify you (the parent). If you are not available, we will then notify the emergency contacts on your child’s form.
Birthdays and Day Care Celebrations
Birthdays are special occasions. One of our goals in celebrating is to consider the uniqueness and different backgrounds of each child’s. For this reason we invite parents to attend their child’s birthday snack if possible or share any special ideas. Celebrations for all the children take place during afternoon snack. Children that are able, will eat the special snack and toddlers that have restrictions will eat their own snack. If you are unsure about what to bring, please do not hesitate to speak to your child’s teacher. Celebrations should be a happy and enjoyable occasion so let us all work together at making it an edible one too.
