How To Apply To Our Waitlist
St. Lawrence Co-operative Day Care Inc. creates and maintains a waitlist for its three locations. An application can be made online, over the phone, by email or in person. Please note that we do not charge a fee to add a child’s name to the waitlist.
Children are accepted into SLCD on a first-come, first-served basis based on the date of application. Priority is considered for siblings of children already enrolled in one of our centres.
Please be aware that if you experience any issues with filling out or submitting your Waitlist Application, please contact the centre you are applying to directly.
How Our Waitlist Application Process Works
There are some important points to read over regarding how our application process works. We recommend familiarising yourself with our process before making your application.
What Happens When A Spot Opens Up At SLCD
When a spot becomes available, parents/guardians are called in order of their placement on the waitlist. If a parent/guardian declines the spot, the next parent on the list is called until a parent accepts the spot. At that point, the spot is considered filled.
How To Keep Your Spot
It is the responsibility of the primary parent/guardian to contact the centre to confirm their spot every six months. If there has been no confirmation made, the child’s name will be removed from the waitlist. Confirmation can be done in person, by phone or by email.
Changes To Your Application
It is also the responsibility of the parent/guardian to notify SLCD if any changes need to be made to their application (i.e. an address change, change of date of when care is required). Changes can be made in person, by phone or by email.
Additional Information
If a spot remains unfilled by following the above waitlist process, then we will call parents/guardians on the City of Toronto waitlist based on the age group spot available on a first-come, first-served basis.
